A similie is a phrase or sentence that compares one thing to another using the words like or as.

For example: Rudolph’s nose is as bright as a berry.

                        Rudolph’s nose was like a shiny red traffic light.

Now it is your turn. Complete the following similies and write some of your own.

Alliterations are phrases and sentences that start with the same consonant sound. Authors use them to make their writing more interesting. Read the examples below and write some of your own.
